Quality & Inspection

Quality Policy

How Schontek verifies supply, manages quality risk and supports your inspection requirements.

Last updated: July 2026

Quality Principles

Schontek operates as an independent distributor. Our quality processes are designed to identify, communicate and mitigate the risks inherent in open-market procurement.

  • Transparency — We clearly communicate source type, traceability status and available inspection options for every order
  • Risk-Based Inspection — Inspection level is matched to source type, application criticality and customer requirements
  • Documentation — Quality records, test reports and traceability documents are available upon request
  • Continuous Improvement — Quality processes are reviewed regularly and updated based on industry best practices and customer feedback

Inspection Levels

Inspection options are selected based on source type and your application requirements. We recommend discussing inspection level with your engineering and quality teams.

Inspection Matrix
Level 1: Visual Package condition, markings, date code, lot code, physical anomalies
Level 2: X-Ray Die structure, wire bonds, lead frame, internal anomalies and decapsulation check
Level 3: XRF Material composition analysis, RoHS compliance screening, finish verification
Level 4: Electrical Functional testing against datasheet specifications, parametric verification
Level 5: Lab Independent third-party laboratory testing for high-risk or critical applications

Inspection Recommendations by Application

Application Guide
Consumer Level 1 (Visual) minimum; Level 2 recommended for open-market sources
Industrial Level 2 (X-Ray) recommended; Level 4 for critical control components
Medical Level 4 (Electrical) minimum; Level 5 (Lab) for life-support applications
Automotive Level 4 minimum; full traceability and AEC-Q qualification review required
Aerospace / Defense Level 5 (Lab) with full documentation package; consult quality team before ordering
