Export Compliance Policy

Schontek Electronics is committed to full compliance with all applicable export control laws and regulations. We take export compliance seriously and have implemented screening procedures to ensure responsible trade practices.
1. Applicable Regulations
Shipments from Schontek Electronics may be subject to the following regulations:
- US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) administered by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)
- EU Dual-Use Regulation Council Regulation (EC) No 428/2009
- China Export Control Law effective December 2020
- UN Security Council sanctions resolutions
- Other applicable national export control laws in the country of origin or transit
2. Restricted Party Screening
- All customers and end-users are screened against major restricted party lists including:
- US Entity List (BIS), Specially Designated Nationals (OFAC SDN List)
- EU Consolidated Sanctions List
- UN Security Council Consolidated List
- UK HM Treasury Consolidated List
- Transactions involving sanctioned entities, countries, or end-uses will be declined.
3. Restricted Destinations
Schontek Electronics does not ship to countries or territories subject to comprehensive sanctions, including but not limited to:
- North Korea (DPRK)
- Iran
- Syria
- Cuba
- Crimea region, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine
This list is subject to change based on updates to sanctions programs.
4. End-Use & End-User Verification
- For controlled items, Schontek Electronics may require an End-Use Statement or End-User Certificate.
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate end-use and end-user information.
- Parts must not be diverted to prohibited end-uses including military applications in embargoed countries, weapons of mass destruction programs, or terrorism-related activities.
5. ECCN Classification
Electronic components may be classified under Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN). Common classifications include:

6. Customer Responsibility
- The buyer is responsible for ensuring compliance with their country's import regulations.
- The buyer must not re-export or transfer products in violation of applicable export control laws.
- Schontek Electronics reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order that raises compliance concerns.
